Announcement from American Trail Running Association partner US Trail Running Conference (USTRC) featuring its 2024 Advisory Committee.

The US Trail Running Conference (USTRC) is thrilled to announce the formation of its 2024 Advisory Committee, composed of individuals deeply passionate about advancing the trail running community. This distinguished group will play a pivotal role in shaping the upcoming conference, slated to take place from October 23 to 25 in Knoxville, Tennessee, and is presented by Marathon Printing, Inc.

The Advisory Committee will provide valuable insights towards the selection of key panelists and presenters, ensure the content of conference sessions is inclusive and educational, and actively engage personal networks to enhance participation and outreach.

“As we strive to make the 2024 US Trail Running Conference the best one yet, we are honored to have such dedicated individuals on our Advisory Committee,” said Terry Chiplin, Conference Event Director. “Their expertise, experience, and enthusiasm will be instrumental in fostering an enriching experience for all attendees.” Members of the Advisory Committee will meet in monthly video calls to collaboratively help build the conference.

“We are committed to creating a conference that not only celebrates the sport of trail running but also prioritizes sustainability and diversity,” added Corinne Trujillo Shalvoy, Conference Assistant Event Director. “With the guidance of our esteemed Advisory Committee, we are confident that we can achieve our goals and inspire positive growth within the trail running community.”

In addition to their advisory roles, committee members have been extended invitations to serve as panelists at the conference, further amplifying their impact and expertise.

The 2024 US Trail Running Conference will uphold its sustainability principles, as outlined in its sustainability statement, which emphasizes environmental conservation, social inclusivity, and economic viability. A new inclusion policy has also been created to ensure the Conference and the Master Class webinar series are safe, inclusive, accessible, and equitable.
