BOULDER, CO (June 2023)Dynafit, a global leader in innovation in competitive mountain endurance sports, is thrilled to announce its sponsorship of the first-ever Vert Running Series, an exhilarating trail running event series set to elevate the sport in the Pacific Northwest. This collaboration aims to support elite youth runners in their preparation for prestigious competitions like the Golden Trail Series, U.S. National Championships and World Championships. It also helps to provide an inclusive platform for recreational trail runners to experience and compete in challenging trail running events.

Four Races

The race locations include Issaquah, WA, Leavenworth WA, Mt. SI, WA and North Bend, WA. Participants can choose from a range of distances, starting from a 17k race and culminating in the championship 30k event. “I am beyond excited to be sponsoring our fourth running series in North America,” said Michael Casarrubia, Community Marketing Manager Dynafit. “The Vert Running series aligns with our efforts to support mountain racing in core mountain communities and offers athletes a chance to compete in well organized and challenging courses. As sub-ultra and short course racing grow in North America we expect runners in the PNW to gravitate towards this new series. Cash prizes and product giveaways should draw in top competitors, thoughtful courses and dedicated race volunteers will bring them back. I think these races will provide something for everyone – both the competitive athletes and the first-time racers.”

Thriving Sport

The Vert Running Series is dedicated to celebrating and expanding trail running as a thriving sport in the Pacific Northwest. Designed to cultivate young elite athletes’ skills for competing in world class events, the series also accommodates Sport and Masters 50+ divisions, ensuring recreational trail runners have an opportunity to compete for podium positions and learn from a diverse trail running community.

“We are honored to partner with Dynafit, an outstanding outdoor adventure gear company that is deeply committed to speed and innovative gear,” said Scott Sowle, Owner and Race creator for Vert Running. “Dynafit knows VERT and how to deliver athletes uphill fast and this is a great opportunity to introduce the Pacific Northwest to short, fast, and steep events alongside some of the best trail running gear on the market.
