Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré – Québec Mega Trail (QMT) is pleased to announce that the 2025 and 2026 Canadian Trail Running Championships will take place during the event. The competition, which will include a Short Trail Championship of 50 km and a Long Trail Championship of 80 km, will be held on the trails of Côte-de-Beaupré and Charlevoix during the QMT weekend from July 3 to 6 (2025 edition).
“Our organization is following the path of other major sporting events that have taken place in Québec City, Côte-de-Beaupré, and Charlevoix regions during the last years. Trail running is very popular here and we wanted to organize the Canadian Championships for local athletes, but also for runners from other Canadian provinces who will discover the beauty of our territory and the indescribable atmosphere of the QMT. Holding the Canadian Trail Running Championships will have positive benefits for the region, in addition to helping to increase the notoriety of our event.” – Jean Fortier, general director and founder of Québec Mega Trail.
