Winterrific Snowshoe Race

Description: We've added a 5k race this year and eliminated the 30k race. We haven't had enough participants for the 30k race to justify having our volunteers man the aid stations for a handful of shoers. The course is on the horse trails south of the ski and mountain bike trail. The races will start and finish at the trailhead at the horse campground. (We have shelter at the start/finish, thanks to our sponsor Summit Snowshoes). The course is non-groomed except for snowshowers and hikers. It consists of some flat terrain, rolling hills, and a few challenging hills that run through the woods and some open fields - so dress appropriately for wind. We are finalizing the 5K course. The main course is one 10k loop. The 20k folks will make 2 loops. The course is well marked, so no worries about going off course. See link below for course map. The race will be on the orange marked trails - starting at mile marker 29/30. Both the 10k and 20k races are qualifiers for the National Championships, but they are open to anyone who wants to race. In order to qualify you must be a member of the USSSA.
