Wild & Woolly Snowshoe Races

NorthWoods Stewardship Center would like to welcome experienced athletes and novices alike to explore our gorgeous groomed trail system this winter with a revived and rejuvenated take on a classic event. We will be hosting a 5K and 10K snowshoe race as well as a 1K fun run/walk.

The 5K and 10K will be a loop course, where the 10K is two loops of the 5K. Prizes will be given to overall winners in the race. The 1K fun run will take place in front of our lodge after the 5k and 10k races commence. This fun run encourages friendly competition of all ages to dress in costume related to the “Wild and Woolly” theme. Walking on traditional wooden snowshoes is also encouraged. Prizes will be given to best overall costumes.

Registration: Open for 5k and 10k races
Fees:
Students & Kids: $25
Adults: $45
1K race registration opens day of race event (cost TBD).

Food: Chili and corn bread (provided for competitors and $5 for spectators)
Drinks: Water, hot tea, hot chocolate, coffee
