Welcome! Mesa Monument Striders is the paramount running group in the Grand Valley on the Western Slope of Colorado. The mission of the club is to promote the health and welfare of the community through running and associated exercise. Mesa Monument Striders has been a nonprofit corporation since 3/8/1978 and has been staging races and fun events since that time. The club is an affiliate of the Road Runners Club of America and is insured through the national organization. Because of our extraordinary locale, we get to run it all–atop the 11,000 foot Grand Mesa, along the streets and river trails of our beautiful city, through the red rock canyons in our backyard, and across a whole lot of desert terrain. Our members range from young to old, super speedy to perfectly happy bringing up the rear, competitive to casual. Running related activities hosted include–but are not limited to–road races, trail races, weekly group runs, trail building, weekend long runs, post-race socializing, and silly events just for fun. The Striders supports local events through promotion, coordination, and scheduling. We provide chip timing services and other race support. One thing we all have in common–enjoying the physical, mental, and social benefits of an active lifestyle and appreciating the abundance of trails in the Grand Valley. Come run with us!
