Tsali Frosty Foot Trail Races

This event is an annual classic. Which sells out before registration closes. From the beginner to the experienced runner, this is one event that everyone should do at least once. Participants get to enjoy first hand the world class Tsali Trail System, nestled in the majestic Nantahala National Forest mountains of Western North Carolina. Tsali features some of the best well-groomed and breathtaking trails in the world stretching alongside scenic Fontana Lake.

Good Endurance Running is proud to host the NC USATF 50 km Trail Championships on January 17, 2026, in Almond, North Carolina, in conjunction with the Tsali 50K.

Trail races exceeding the standard marathon distance are classified as ultramarathons. As such, the Tsali Ultra qualifies as a Mountain, Ultra, Trail (MUT) event.

In addition to our standard awards, the USATF North Carolina Division will offer the following championship prize money and awards. To be eligible, participants must:

Be a 2026 USATF member
Have resided in North Carolina for at least 12 consecutive months
