The Riley Trails 50K

Description:

Egress Endurance is proud to announce the first year of the Riley Trails 50k! Runners will complete 31 miles on two alternating loops Starting and Finishing at Riley Trails (See Course Map) Cut off time will be 9 hours. This will be the first race of 3 in the Egress Endurance Ottawa County Parks series of 2019 races. Run the Riley Trails 50k, The Riley Trails Marathon and The Ultra Bird 6 or 12 hour event and get a special trophy!

Aid Stations: We will have 2 aid stations. One at the start/finish and one located on the “back side” of the trails about 2.5 miles away from the 1st aid station. We will have these aid stations stocked with tons of goodies and awesome volunteers!

Drop bag area will be available at the Start/Finish Aid station

Course Map: Runners will run two (2) alternating loops, repeating for 5 times each loop, to reach the 50k mark. (See course map in photos.)

Runners will start on the ‘Orange Loop’: 4.45 Miles and then switch to the “Green Loop”: 1.75 miles on the next loop. This alternation will repeat until 10 total loops have been completed. (5 Orange, 5 Green.) Each loop is made up of: Buffed single track, some sand and we have thrown in some “fun” little hills. This will give runners a mental as well as physical challenge!

Parking and Transport: Due to the limited parking available at Riley Trails, We will have all runners park at Benjamin’s Hope Property Starting at 6:45 AM (1 Hour before start time.) Benjamin’s Hope Location is: 15468 Riley St, Holland, MI 49424. We will transport all runners to the Start/Finish 1 mile away at Riley Trials. Transport will be leaving promptly at 7:40AM. We will have a few transports back to Benjamin’s Hope going to and from Riley Trails as you finish the race. You may also catch a ride back with a friend or family. We will have a “transport tracking sheet” you will need to initial after you have completed the race so we can make sure everyone is accounted for!

Bib Transfers/Cancellations: This event will take place rain or shine. There are NO cancellations for this event. However, you can submit a “special consideration transfer” to transfer your entry fee to another Egress Endurance event. You may also transfer your bid to another runner up to the “bid transfer cut off date”.
