Description:

Celebrate National Italian Day and embrace your inner Gladiator. The beautiful trails at last years race proved very popular so this year we’ve made it even better with 3 distances to choose from. The 8km, 15km and 21km are suitable for those new to trails, as well as the seasoned runner. Test your strength tackling Goliath (Wild Horse Mountain) and see if you know your Roman numerals. Come dressed as an inspired Gladiator and get the opportunity to lead the peasants through the Colosseum and out onto the trail. There will be prizes for the best dressed and running club games of strength. Afterwards enjoy some yummy Italian treats and coffee.

The Gladiator is the second event in the Run Qld Day-Night Series. Complete all four events to automatically qualify for the series.

Interesting fact: The Aboriginal people tell a story of the Glass House Mountains of which Tibrogargan is the father, Beerwah the pregnant mother and Coonowrin the son who betrayed his parents.
