The Tahoe 25k is a fun and challenging race from the base of Homewood Mountain Resort all the way to Ellis Peak and Barker pass. If you love vert, we’ve got some vert for you! Homewood has some of the best and most expansive views of Lake Tahoe. Enjoy views of the largest alpine lake in the USA while climbing and descending this route and run along rocky Ellis Peak (see photo on this page) with views of the Crystal Basin, Loon Lake, and Desolation Wilderness.
Trail Conditions: Single track, often smooth/dry soil with lots of granite/rock. Some double track trails.
Race Format: Out and back from Homewood Mountain resort to Barker Pass to finish back at Homewood Mountain resort. Hikers/walkers welcome as long as you can walk average 2.5 mph. Please keep in mind the course has a lot of climbing!
