Strawberry Fields Forever
Hamilton Island, North Bonneville WA, 98639, USA
This is a 10k loop course in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, in a recreation area managed by the Corps of Engineers. It runs through field, forest, and along the majestic Columbia River. The course is dirt trail and graveled trail. There is roughly 200 feet of elevation gain and 200 feet of elevation loss.
The start and finish of the loop are at the North Bonneville Ball Fields where participants can stop for all the usual aid; peanut butter strawberry jam sandwiches, water, electrolyte, sports bars and pizza, as they are counted by the chip mat. I offer only one aid station that can be accessed every 6.2 miles. Runners can put up a tent at the park for a change of gear or a nap. The course also runs past 3 bathrooms and a small detour will get you a 4th bathroom.
This is a great opportunity to test all your gear or your stamina with limited consequences!
