Winnipesaukee River Trail, Franklin NH, 03235, USA

Walk or run the Winnipesaukee River Trail all skill levels are welcomed! The trail parallels the Winnipesaukee River and passes the historic upside down covered bridge. On your 3.1 mile journey you will also view mill ruins, remaining portions of dams that tell the history of the mills that operated on this section of the river and you will have a front row view of the beginning of new Mill City Park. As you run or walk you will overlook the Winnipesaukee River where at any time you may see a kayaker navigating what has become a popular kayak spot as the river drops 80 feet in elevation as it passes through a spectacular gorge. The trail begins as pavement and turns to dirt as you continue on through the hills and flat terrain.

The first 75 participants that sign-up will receive a free race T-shirt! Race t-shirts and bibs can be picked up in Trestle View Park prior to the race. Fierce Sprit fitness will be hosting a warm-up in Trestle View Park at 9:00am for all walkers and runners. Race kick-off will happen across the street at the mouth of the Winnipesaukee River Trail on the Franklin side.

After you get your cardio in for the day please join us for the second annual Winni River Days hosted by Mill City Park (Mill City Park)! We will have food, vendors, 3 bands and of course lots of paddling in the river! We hope to see you there!
