Section 4 September Sufferfest

Description:

This is a 6.2 mile loop course that starts and finishes at Dunns Farm Trailhead, first 2.6 miles are flat and scenic on the new Cross Cut section, the first aid station will be located at the end of this section just prior to entering SECTION 4. Section 4 is another 2.6 miles that traverses Black Creek with scenic bluffs/overlooks and the most elevation loss/gain of any section of pioneer trail ( approx 400-500 ft ). After exiting section 4 there will be another aid/water station before the last 1 mile section of beautiful and flat palmetto forest. Time cut offs are 2.5hrs for 10k, 5 hrs for 20k, and 7 hrs for 30k, Overall winners and AG winners will get a unique award and all finishers will get some nice race swag as well! Join us at the Jennings State Forest, Pioneer Trail for the Section 4 September Sufferfest. We will be offering 3 distances; 10K, 20k, & 30K. Each will be run on a 6.2 mile loop of the newly added SECTION 4 trail. Event will be professionally chip timed by Second Wind Timing. Splits will be provided for each lap on the course. There will be 50 runners per event with 2 well stocked aid stations and easy access to your vehicle for the 20k and 30k runners. This is also a cupless race so you will need to bring your own handheld water bottle and our aid station volunteers will fill it up for you.
