RacingThePlanet: Georgia 2020, The Great Caucasus, is the 12th edition of the RacingThePlanet Ultramarathon. It starts on 15 August 2021. It is a 250 kilometer / 155 mile, 6-stage, 7-day, self-supported stage race.
The course of RacingThePlanet: Georgia is located in the Caucasus Mountain Range at the crossroads of Europe and Asia! It’s a journey to the past where competitors run / hike through stunning mountain scenery and pristine nature, rolling vineyards and colourful culture, quaint old farming villages, ancient ruins and medieval castles that have witnessed the history of the two continents.
Georgia is often referred as a gem of the Caucasus. It is an unexplored destination to many but those who have visited the country remember the charm, beauty and hospitality. This small nation packs a lot in – ancient cities, UNESCO World Heritage Sites, snowy mountains, lush nature, the shores of the Black Sea and delicious wine. It is one of the most ecologically diverse places in the world!
