Description:

Canceled 2023. The NUTT Endurance Challenge 50k is a 31 mile multi-loop trail ultramarathon on mostly single-track/double-track at the amazing Western Slopes of Massanutten Mountain, maintained by the Shenandoah Valley Bicycle Coalition. You will complete five 10k figure-eight loops. There is an aid station every 5k, where you can also pass by your drop bags for self-support. The course has an elevation gain of 4000 ft (~800 ft of climbing per 10k loop). You will have ample time to complete the course with a generous 9 hour cutoff. We strive to create one of the best, and most runner-supported ultra race experiences in Virginia.

Aren’t up for a 50K? We’ve got you covered too!

Enjoy the same remarkable trails as the 50k race….just less time and distance. The 20k will cover 2 of the same 10k figure-eight laps as the long race, and the 5k will run the first half of the 10k lap. All races start and end at with the same location, and the course will be marked with streamers, so it will be very easy to know where to run and where to finish!

The Nutt Endurance Challenge is part of a race series raising funds to comprise a scholarship supporting the longevity of a prospective collegiate runner from Rockingham County Public Schools. Children’s books acquired throughout the series will be placed in classrooms throughout the county.
