North Bend Trail Fest

In 2025 Mountain Running Races introduces two days of vert filled mountain running events to the North Bend Trail Fest, October 11-12, 2o25.

They begin on Saturday with the Mt Si VK. The only true vertical kilometer event in the West followed up with a party at the Pro Ski Shop in North Bend, Washington. Saturday also is the start of the new North Bend Double which includes the Mt Si VK and then concludes on Sunday with the North Bend Skyline 30k. This one will pack a punch of over a combined total of 10,000 feet of vertical gain during the two days.

Sunday is the start of the North Bend Trail Fest at Torguson Park that includes the Mountain Adventure Expo and the North Bend Skyline 30k, which is the Vert Running Series Championship event, Little Si 10k, and kid’s races.

Mt Si VK – October 11, 2025, 10 am

The only true vertical kilometer event in the PNW. Three miles with 3500 feet of vert will be held on Saturday October 11, 2025, 10 am.

North Bend Double – Begins October 11 with VK, finishes October 12 with North Bend Skyline 30k

Double up the fun with two days of Vert and three peaks. The double will challenge you with over 10,000 feet of vert and just 35k of steep quad smashing trails.

North Bend Skyline 30k – October 12, 2025, 8 am

Vert Ticket

Overall men and women’s winners will get a free entry to the 2026 Broken Arrow Skyrace 23k,  in Olympic Valley, California.

This course will test your vert running legs, heart and mind while giving you some of the best views of North Bend and the Cascade Mountains.

Top 3 men, women and non-binary custom wooden awards
All finishers will receive a custom North Bend Trail Fest award (TBD).

Starting out in North Bend, Washington and taking you up Mt Si and Mount Teneriffe you’ll gain over 6200 feet of vert. This course will not only test you with steep vert but it’s a quad smashing fast decent and smooth flat mile back into town that will leave you astounded as you lay at the finish looking up at the face of Mt Si and grasping for air and the words to express your experience.

Divisions

Elite – For the sponsor runner or building a resume to become sponsored. Not sponsored and feel you fit? Contact us.
Sport – Recreational runners who still like to compete but hate getting slammed by the pros.
Masters 45+ – Runners who can still hammer but can’t quite keep with those youngsters.

The Start/Finish line will feature the North Bend Trail Fest that will help all to enjoy the season finale with food, games, vendors and music and Mt Si as the backdrop.

Little Si 10k October 12, 2025, 8:10 am

will give you an idea of what our Vert Running Series is about and features the Youth Under 20 division.
Awards – Top 3 men, women, non-binary, boys and girls. All finishers receive a custom wooden medal.
