Description:
We do not need to build anything to give you the most incredible challenge and adventure possible. Mother Nature has taken care of that for us! People from 44 states have done this event and there is a reason why. Mike Sherpa Hendrickson has done twenty of these bad boys. There is a reason why (he hit his head on a rock the first year maybe).
This event is true adventure. And 2019 will be no exception. We always have some tricks up our sleeve for this monumental experience. Do not miss out.
NO BANDITS. NO NUMBER. NO RUN.
FIELD LIMIT = 400 ::: Sign up EARLY and save!
NEWS AND UPDATES:
:: THe TWILIGHT SCRAMBLE takes place the night before the Mt. Hood Scramble.
:: Registration is OPEN for 2019.
:: The Scramble has moved to the last weekend in June – NOT on Father’s Day!
:: We will be adding a 5K Twilight Scramble the night before the Granddaddy! Watch for info and registration for that this Fall. And yes, there will be awards for the top finishers who do both!
THE GRANDFATHER OF FILTH
Yep. We created what a Scramble should be, more than 20 YEARS ago. There are a lot of posers out there now. But the real filth and adventure lays with the Mt. Hood Scramble. The Grandfather of Filth.
THIS IS WHAT WE ARE ROCKIN’
This event isn’t designed for the pansy-ass front avenue runner — DO NOT expect some cutesy lil’ downtown 5k, or some wussy boy trail-run. This mother is packed with adventure: hills, creeks, rock, dirt, heavy brush and more. Wear clothes you don’t mind ruining, and bring band-aids if you are concerned about some bleeding. As for aid stations… there is plenty of water on the course, but I’d think twice about drinking it… especially after you waded through it. As for the distance, well it’s about 6-miles or whatever “K”. We’ll time you, give you awards, probably some watermelon, and hell, we may even throw a few beers — all you have to do is finish. Think you’re up for it? We are ready for you, and to quote Shakespeare’s Henry V, “he who shed his blood with me, shall be my brother” See you on the hill.
IF YOU ARE JUST SKIMMING INFO, READ THIS… We don’t make mud pits, we find them. We don’t make obstacles we route through them. So just to reiterate, leave the fancy foo foo ideas at home, and come and play “real” dirty.
Finding the Mayhem:
