Description:

This 1st Ecuadoran challenge follows in the tradition of the MaXi-Races worldwide: a call to travel and explore, and discover beautiful landscapes and cultures through a popular event providing a personal challenge for everyone. Under the Andean sun and with a backdrop of steppes and volcanoes, the participants in the first edition of the MaXi-Race Ecuador 2016 set out on this trail at the centre of the Earth. Located at an altitude of over 3500m, certain sections of the course went as high as 4200m above sea level.
