Description: 135 kilometers long (elevation gain 6100 meters), the start will be given onto Bel Ombre castle place, and will take you through the sugar cane fields and meadows of Bel Ombre hunting ground. Then it's on to the first challenge with the watook ascent to reach the famous Black River National Park viewpoint. A few kilometers far, you'll cross 7 large private estates that are exceptionally open to us (hunting grounds of Merven, Ducray, La Villeon, Mons sur Mons d'Hotman, Montagne Laporte, Mons sur Mons Galea and Baie du Cap Estate). You'll discover unspoilt nature where thousands of deer live without ever crossing paths with man. Once you're back on the seafront, run 10 kilometers along the lagoon with a view on Le Morne to reach the refreshment station at Le Morne, 95 kilometers from the finish line... but the route ahead won't be easy. You'll have to tackle a series of technical ascents and descents to reach the Parakeet Trail, passing through Ebony Forest, Chamarel and the island's highest point, Black River Peak (828m). Before racing the final 40 kilometers, the passage around the Mare Longue reservoir will offer you a haven of freshness and greenery to recharge your batteries.
