This race offers two options, a 30K and 50K length event. Both events will offer a 10 hour cut off time with three aid stations. This race consists of smooth rolling single track trails with no repeat loops so you will never see the same thing twice! Whether this is your first trail race, or your looking to set a PR, you will love this course! All participants that register by October 15th will receive a free long sleeve shirt. Space will be limited so register soon!
30K runners: You will start at the main parking lot, then proceed and enter Laurel Loop, Wildlife Loop, Fox Loop, and Fallstown Loop before returning back to the finish line at the main parking lot. The 30K course has approximately 1,500 feet of elevation gain.
50K Runners: You will start and race with the 30K runners along the same route, then you will continue on to Hawk Loop, Monbo Loop, Norwood Creek Loop and Hicks Creek Loop before returning back to the finish line at the main parking lot. The 50K course has approximately 2,200 feet of elevation gain.
There will be three fully stocked aid stations serving water, Mountain Dew, Coke, Ginger Ale, and Tailwind. Food will also be available at both aid stations. Food will consist of cookies, oranges, Hammer Gels, chips, and other snacks. Aid station # 1 will be located in the parking lot of the start/finish line, aid station # 2 will be located where Wildlife Road and Wildlife Loop intersects. Hot tea, pizza, and soup will be waiting for you at the finish line!
All participants who complete the entire duration of their selected event will receive a special finishers metal when they cross the finish line. There will be special awards for 1st place overall male and female for both events. All results will be posted to Ultra Sign Up and Ultrarunning Magazine.
Volunteers are always in need. Volunteers will recieve a free tshirt, and volunteers who help out for 4 hours or longer will recieve a free entree into next years event.
Pictures will be taken on the course during the race and at the finish line. A link including all photos taken during the event will be emailed to all registered runners the following week of the race.
