Description:

The Vertical Kilometer is a specialty of mountain running, with an uphill track covering a difference in height of one thousand meters. The length of the route varies according to the road you travel on. Artificial works are not allowed to shorten the journey. The CHIAVENNA-LAGÙNC VERTICAL KILOMETER runs exclusively on mule tracks and mountain paths usually frequented by any person, without dangers of any kind. The difference in height of one thousand meters has been certified by the Maraffio Technical Studio of Chiavenna. The departure is located at an altitude of 352 meters above sea level and the arrival at 1352 meters above sea level, respectively in loc. Loreto in the Municipality of Chiavenna and loc. Lagùnc in the Municipality of San Giacomo Filippo. The course has a development of 3,298 meters.
