Easter Seals Run the Woods 5K

Description:

Run the Woods is an appropriately named trail run held the first Saturday in October each year at the beautiful Timber Pointe Outdoor Center, Lake Bloomington, Illinois. The fifteen year old race is well managed and well marked with plenty of friendly volunteers and amenities such as chip timing, hand-crafted age group awards, uniquely designed long sleeve T-shirts, and a delicious pancake breakfast during our awards ceremony. The 5K race starts and ends at the Timber Pointe Lodge and winds through the camps’ extensive woods and along its lake front. 8K runners follow the 5K course before heading off on a more challenging 3K loop that is primarily a single track cut through Timber Pointe’s remote cloverleaf area. The proceeds of the race benefit Easter Seals. The race organizers are passionate about trail running, Easter Seals, and Timber Pointe Outdoor Center.
