Directions: From Sandpoint take Hwy 200 east to Hope, ID (approx 15 miles.) After you pass Holiday Shores Marina/Gas Station on your right proceed approx. one mile and turn left at the Sam Owen Fire Station on Old Sam Owen Dr/Rd. Go over RR tracks and leave your Drop Bag if you have one. DROP-OFF IS FROM 5:30 to 6:00 AT THE PULLOUT ON YOUR LEFT. HAVE YOUR BAG CLEARLY MARKED WITH YOUR LAST NAME. From there you proceed UP the gravel road (West Spring Creek Road) and take this to the very end. (Approx 4.5 miles.) Do not make any turns off this road. Vteers will direct you where to park. Check in and get your number.

Directions from Montana: Take Hwy 200 West past Clark Fork, ID approx. 7 miles. Turn right on Old Sam Owen Dr/Rd at the Sam Owen Fire Station and follow the same instructions as above.

DROP BAGS MUST BE LEFT BY 6:00 a.m. SHARP Our Aid Station Vteers leave at 6:00 to drive to the aid station so don’t be late if you have a bag! After the last finisher hits the turnaround they will break down aid and return bags to the start/finish.

There are three Porta-Potties at the start.

Start 6:30 a.m. Numbers must be clearly visible on front of you. You proceed on Trail 120 up for the first 5 miles gaining 3200 feet following pink flagging. (It is one trail and no turns) There is a remote water drop available at 5 miles. Take what you need but do not leave your trash. Proceed 8 miles along the ridge on the 120 and you will see Lake Pend Oreille off to your left. At 13 miles you will find the Aid Station with water, Tailwind, chips, sandwiches, etc. YOU MUST VERBALLY CHECK IN AND OUT. From the Aid Station follow the flagging up through a scree field to the summit of Roundtop. Collect 1 coin out of a Crown Royal Whiskey Bag hanging in sight. Continue following the flagging back to the Aid Station, CHECK-IN AND OUT and load up and return back to the finish. Remember to hit the last water stop! See you at the finish! Distance is 26ish miles and 5800 or so vert. Whatever your Garmin says……

Sign the coffin, turn in your coin and collect your Hoodie and Spade.

It will be hot so plan accordingly. The trail is runnable……sometimes. Rocks, roots, and grass will slow you down.

Lastly, NO LITTERING it is bad ju-ju if you do. Be nice to my volunteers. No whining. Take pics you earned it.
