Description:
The Amalfi Positano UltraTrail is a great running event, which includes 3 distances: 55 km (elevation gain 3 700 m), 37 km (elevation gain 2350 m) and 16,5 km (elevation gain 945 m). The race takes place in one of the most beautiful regions in the world, which is also a UNESCO world heritage site. Route description: All of the routes start and finish at the Arena San Matteo, Via Casalone, Agerola. The race takes place in a natural environment and runs along footpaths, mule tracks and staircases on top of the Amalfi coast. The 37 km and 55 km will run by the sea in the beautiful scenery of Fiordo di Furore. The routes are demanding and very technical so good training, previous experience and capacity to run autonomously are indispensable. 55 km between the sky and the sea of the Amalfi coast 37 km on the paths and staircases of the Lattari mountains. 16,5 km up and down on the “Trail of Gods” (Sentiro degli Dei). Refreshment stations: Tasting of local products before the race on Saturday evening. The 16,5 km “Trail of Gods” is run autonomously (food and drink). Water stations at kms 10, 13 and 14. The two longer routes are run in semi-autonomy (food and drink). There will be refreshment stations with food and water along the way. Pasta party in the finish.
