Description:

Wildcat Glades trails travel through diverse ecosystems and range from leisurely to rugged. Enjoy Missouri trees, wildflowers and a host of birds and animals. Rivers and creeks flow along the entire length of the trails. This scenic trail takes you to the historic Redings Mill Bridge. Listen to the rushing rapids and keep your eyes open for a belted kingfisher and osprey. A section of the trail is rugged and will take you up a 50-foot chert bluff overlooking Shoal Creek. You will encounter Mother Nature’s Gap, an enormous 40-foot split in the chert bed rock, along this trail. This course has some areas that are very dangerous. Serious injury or death may occur if a person falls or goes off course – this event is NOT open to children at all, and is only recommended for skilled runners and walkers. Early packet pickup for the event will be held Friday, March 24th from 10:00 AM unti 4:00 PM at Wildcat Glades Conservation & Audubon Center. 201 W. Riviera Drive in Joplin. Same day packet pickup and registration for out of town travelers will be held on. Saturday, March 25th from 6:30 AM – 7:30 AM. This event will cap at 300 participants, so we suggest early registration.
