US Mountain Running Team member Magdalena Boulet named President of GU Energy Labs

Announcement from American Trail Running Association member GU Energy Labs. Magdalena Boulet was a member of the 2013 US Mountain Running Team and finished 11th at World Mountain Running Championships in Krynica-Zdroj, Poland.

GU Energy Labs, a leader in the endurance sports nutrition market, announced the promotion of Magdalena Boulet to President. This appointment represents an investment in the future of GU leadership that will sharpen its focus on innovation and growth.

“Magda’s long history with GU and inspiring leadership style will put us in the position to pursue our next phase of strategic growth in ways that honor our history of innovation and passion for movement,” said Brian Vaughan, Co-Founder & CEO.

Magda began her career at GU in 1999 when she knocked on the door seeking nutrition advice for her post-collegiate running goals. Magda first worked alongside Dr. Bill Vaughan as GU’s lead Research Assistant before taking a break in 2007 to pursue a professional running career, which included landing a spot on the US Olympic Marathon Team and earning two team bronze medals in the World Cross Country Championships.

I see my new role as a coach for the GU Crew and will draw energy, and creativity out of the people I work with,” said Magda. During her tenure at GU, she has also led sales and marketing teams on separate occasions, building her knowledge to take on the company-wide responsibilities as President. Magda added: “I’m deeply honored and humbled by this opportunity and look forward to the work ahead as we develop and grow our teams and the business.”

Magda will also work in close partnership with Brian as he shifts his attention and brings expression to the GU’s shared purpose.
