Oregon’s Hagg Mud Will Not Be Happening in 2021

It is with heavy hearts that we have to announce that the 2021 Hagg Mud Double, 50k and 25k will not be taking place in February 2021. We love this community, and we feel the deep weariness that comes from not being able to run with our friends and fellow runners in the celebration of a race atmosphere. We wish we had a different announcement for you.

The reality is that Washington County, Oregon will not be issuing any permits for the facilities in February, thereby making it impossible for us to stage the event. Beyond this crucial part of race planning, we have the desire to produce the true Hagg Mud race that we so love – with a large finish line celebration, aid stations full of hugging volunteers, a commitment to zero waste, and a safe environment for everyone. We have hope that we will be able to have a proper 20th anniversary celebration of the Hagg Mud runs in 2022.

We are currently considering ways to connect with you this winter, so stay tuned for more information about how we can support each other in our running through the winter months.

We hope you all stay well until we can see you again. If you head out on the trails or roads at Hagg Lake, please be sure to tag us – we love to see you “churning the dirt” out there.
