New this year, MYLAPS Sports Timing will be included at The RUT Mountain Runs in the form of MYLAPS EventApp, Live Tracking and Social Shares modules from the “EventManager” platform via timing partner, Competitive Timing out of Montana.
The RUT Mountain Runs festival will be held Friday, September 2 to Sunday, September 4, 2016, in Big Sky Resort, Montana, and features a Vertical Kilometer, 11K, 28K and 50K races. The RUT is also part of the Skyrunner World Series and Skyrunner Series USA.
The EventApp is a customized, mobile app specifically branded to The RUT and its sponsors. It provides:
- Interactive Live Tracking of participants
- GPS tracking optional to participants
- Includes estimated finish times
- Results – including split times
- Latest event updates
- Emergency information
- Detailed course map and other points of interest
Spectators can follow their friends and family live and receive instant updates on their progress with “The RUT” EventApp.
Simply open the app and click “Live Tracking” and select the person you want to follow via the search bar and you are all set. You will be able to follow a moving dot of that person throughout the entire course. Participants can increase the accuracy of Live Tracking via GPS tracking as well!
Open the app and Navigate to Live Tracking and claim yourself as a runner and bring your Smart phone on race day. When you start the race, launch the app and select ‘’start run.’’
The Social Shares module also enables participants & spectators to receive immediate updates on all split times and finish times via text message, Facebook or Twitter.
