Race announcement from ATRA corporate member Morocco Race.
The first edition of the the “Morocco Race” will take place on November 14th 2015. This trail running race is unique in Morocco and in the world of trail running.
Trailers will discover amazing paths with mountains of the High Atlas in forefront, only 35 minutes from Marrakech, in the middle of the forest reserve of Toubkal , at 1200 meters altitude.
A few hours flights from European capitals, “Terres d’Amanar” resort, official place of the event, offers to travelers an exceptional panorama of the villages and the snow-capped of Hight Atlas. “Terres d’Amanar” offers to people who don’t run, family or friends, a large panel of activities for everybody (from 3 years old) alike: sports, cultural activities or simply wellness breaks.
Zip lines , suspension bridges, Accro-Park and mountain bike trails that can allows rediscovering things and confronting with it: climbing, hiking, horse-riding that offers privileged moments of relaxation whereas cooking workshops or initiation to local crafts allows to interact with local residents and share powerful experiences.
“Terres d’Amanar” has the largest zipline of north Africa, 320 m! Nothing like to jump of the zip lines to admire the red clay canyons and get your fill of strong feelings! The place is also an ideal starting point for trekking to discover villages, valleys and tops of the Atlas.
All activities are supervised by trained professionals and are adapted to adults as well as children! Those activities are opportunities to get rich with encounters and discovery of the surrounding nature!
If in the day time, the site offers an exceptional view of the villages and mountain tops. At the nightfall, at fireside, you will admire the stars, the moon and the twinkling lights of Marrakech away.
The Ultra Run Morocco Race of “Terres d’amanar” is a mountain race, no-stop, individual participation which counts three distances (65 km – 25 km – 10 km) opens to all profiles of athletes, trail running beginners and racers. Short distance to long distance and high altitudes experienced marathoners in a dream journey with magical landscapes and spectacular views!
