This August, Kodiak Ultra Marathons will once again kick off in Big Bear Lake, California. More than 2,500 people, including runners, volunteers, and spectators, are expected to turn out for this live all-community event August 19-20, 2022.
The Kodiak Ultra Marathons event takes place in the San Bernardino Mountains of Southern California at an elevation of 7,000 feet. With nearly 17,000 feet of vertical climbing and thin mountain air, runners get a great challenge—and beautiful views—throughout the Kodiak course. The event includes various different races, including the signature Kodiak 100, a 100-mile run that circles the entire valley. Other race distances, including a 100-kilometer run, a 50-kilometer run, a half marathon, and a 10-kilometer “fun run” are also scheduled. The 100-mile and 100-kilometer races will kick off Friday, August 19. The remaining races kick off Saturday, August 20.

This year, Kodiak Ultra Marathons is proud to announce CRAFT Sportswear as its presenting sponsor. Proceeds from the Kodiak Ultra Marathons benefit the San Bernardino County Search & Rescue, Southern California Mountains Foundation and Mountain Top Radio Association.
