ATRA Supports the Outdoor Weber Collegiate Idea Competition

Press release from the Hall Global Entrepreneurship Center.  The American Trail Running Association is a marketing sponsor of the Outdoor Weber student competition.

The Hall Global Entrepreneurship Center at Weber State University is pleased to announce its first national Outdoor Weber student competition sponsored by Camping World® March 22-24, 2018. The contest will be held at the Snowbasin, Wolf Creek and Powder Mountain resorts in the Ogden Utah Valley. University students from across the U.S. are invited to present their entrepreneurial ideas for outdoor recreation products or services. The winner will take home $30,000 cash to further develop their business concept.

Outdoor Weber is a three-month competition that kicks off January 5. Students may submit a one-and-a-half-minute video via outdoorweber.org by January 26 explaining their outdoor recreation concept. Students move through a round of online public voting that lasts three weeks ending February 15, 2018. The 25 ideas that get the most votes move on to the semi-final round where a team of expert judges select 10 finalists. The finalists will be invited to Northern Utah to participate in the final three-day event for a chance to win the cash prize. Camping World® Chairman and star of CNBC’s “The Profit,” Marcus Lemonis, will be in attendance to provide mentoring and the event’s keynote address.
