Wild Wild West History & Description

The oldest trail marathon in the United States, the legendary Wild Wild West Marathon, and UIltra have been hosted by the Lone Pine Chamber of Commerce for 46 years! Join us for a super scenic trail race that goes through the great Alabama Hills and the foothills of Mt. Whitney. Ten water stops or aid stations are positioned along one of American’s most scenic trail races. We offer 50-mile and 50km ultramarathons, a 26.2-mile marathon, and a ten-mile race.

If you want clean air, safe surroundings, and spectacular scenery, if you and your family would like to enjoy a day of running, or you want to run a challenging race, this is the race for you.

As is the case every year, our team of super experienced, super supportive volunteers from the Lone Pine Community, along with Lone Pine Chamber of Commerce Staff and Board Members, will be out in force to support the runners.
