Although it will be too early in the season, the park offers some the most amazing wildflower displace of the region. You will however, see remnants of the mining era throughout the park, offering an exciting look at mining structures during your run. Course: The Course follows New Almaden Trail with the first aid station being at Webb Canyon Trail and continuing to the Mine Hill Trail. The second aid station will be on the Mine Hill Trail. Take Mine Hill Trail to Guadalupe Trail back to Mine Hill Trail. Run on Mine Hill Trail to Guadalupe Trail to Castillero Trail to English Camp Trail. English Camp Trail to Hacienda Trail and finish on Virl O Norton Trail. That completes the first loop and there's one more to run. The course is hilly going out on mostly shady single track on New Almaden Trail with some short steep hills and mostly exposed fire road on the other trails. The whole loop has good footing with a few exceptions. Aid stations will be positioned about every 3 to 4 miles and at the second aid station there is a portable restroom. Please carry water accordingly.
