Description:

The Warrior Way 5K is a challenging trail run through the trails overlooking Lake Tahoe in beautiful Zepher Cove, NV. The race is hosted by and supports the Whittell High School student council. This is a real trail race run on the High School Cross Country Course.

The first mile is a double track gravel/dirt road that brings you back to the start. After crossing the mile mark you enter into single track for the second mile. This is the toughest mile of the course starting along a creek with gradual elevation gain until the 2 mile turn around. You then enter a mix of mostly downhill flat double track/single track bringing you back to the school (teaser…there is one short ascent 1/4 mile before the finish).

The course is well marked with flour/streamers/arrows. Wear your trail shoes, you should expect to jump logs and cross creeks! Custom awards for the winners and t-shirts available to all.

The race ends 800 meters above the lake at Zephyr Cove. Weather is unpredictable. We’ll hold the event rain, snow, or sun.
