Conquer the Crater

This year we are proud to announce the inaugural offering of the Conquer the Crater Ultra Marathon in addition to the 21K, 10k and 5k Trail Runs. Given the unique setting of Kivi Park with 100s of acres of developed trails, the race has a natural tendency to ensure social distancing. The 63km and the 21K trail runs will consist of 21km laps, which will include double-track crusher dust ski trails and challenging single-track hiking trails. The course will take athletes across iconic vistas of the Canadian Shield, showcasing the region’s famous rock, pine forests, and unique geography that once inspired NASA to send their astronauts here for training!! The 5km and 10km trail runs course will consist of a 5K loop. The 5K trail run will include double-track crusher dust ski trails and challenging single-track hiking trails showing off the region’s iconic vistas of the Canadian Shield’s famous rock and pine forests.
