Ultra X Morocco

Description: Ultra X Morocco takes place in North Africa, within the Maghreb region. It overlooks the Mediterranean Sea to the north and the Atlantic Ocean to the west. Morocco is an incredible country, rich in biodiversity and a variety of climates, with an abundance of beaches, mountain ranges and deserts. The Ultra X Morocco course promises to be our most accessible and runnable yet, with a modest elevation gain of just 1,368 metres. This is a quick course that will appeal to all ultra runners; novice and experienced. There are two stages, Saturday and Sunday. The first stage is 60km and will commence at 07:30. The second stage is 50km and will commence at 07:30 too. There are checkpoints stationed approximately 12km apart where competitors can access water, shade/shelter, and, if necessary, medical support. 110km competitors will sleep at their accommodation in Ouarzazate on the Friday before and the Sunday after the race (we advise the race hotel – which can be booked when you register for the race). On Saturday night, 110km competitors will camp near Tazentout, where they can enjoy medical care, and hot water with which to rehydrate their dehydrated meals. 50km runners will stay at their accommodation in Ouarzazate on Saturday and Sunday night.
