Description:

Looking for some Pre Halloween Fun? Come join us for the Inaugural Two Trees Challenge.
What is the Challenge?- Come and run either by yourself, or on a relay team up and over Two Trees for 12, 6, or 3 hours.

What are the Two Trees? Any Ventura local can tell you that the Two Trees have quite the history in the area and are known as a local icon. (Although lately they don’t look too healthy due to fires and the ongoing mega drought) The ever present over seers of Ventura, the trees are typically off limits due to private property. This is your chance to legally get up there (several times actually) and take in the views of Ventura and the Oxnard plain, the Ventura Coast and the beautiful Channel Islands.

What do you mean 12hrs? Well, we mean just that. Run individually or as a relay team for 12hrs straight.

How does it work?

As an Individual- If you are doing this by your lonesome you simply need to complete as many laps as you can with in the 12 hour limit. Rest as little or as much as you want. At the start of every lap, you must check in and notate the time of your departure for that lap. Then as you come back through finishing a lap, be sure to stop at your pre determined transition area to refuel then stop by the timing tent again to notate your departure time for the next lap. Keep going, or take a break, the choice is yours. Those with the most laps at the end win!!!

As a relay- If you are bringing a team of 2 or 4 you will send one runner out at a time to complete a lap. At the start of every lap, the running member of the team must check in and notate the time of their departure for that lap. Then as they come back through finishing a lap, they can stop at the team’s pre determined transition area to refuel and to pass your “baton” to the next member on your team who will notate their departure time for the next lap. Keep going, or take a break, the choice is yours. (Runners are welcome to do multiple laps in a row, pass the baton as much or little as needed) Those with the most laps at the end win!!!
The route is approximately 4.25 miles long with tough elevation and exposed ridgelines. It’s going to be epic!

Not up for the full 12 hours? No worries, we got you covered with a 6hr and 3hr option. Everything works the same as above. Bring a team or try it as an individual and test your strength.
