Located in the North Texas Hill Country of Texas, Wildcatter Ranch will be the staging ground for the Showdown at Sundown Ultra Trail Run. Newly cut trails designed specifically for this race will wind in and around the ranch allowing racers to tour the grounds. Trails will offer a wide variety of features to include everything from rocks to roots, climbs to descents, flats to winding turns, and cedar canopy to open grassland. Just ninety minutes from DFW International Airport and right around the corner from Possum Kingdom Lake, this trail system is one of the best around…and the only way to experience it is with this race.

Before and after the race, guests can have a hands-on experience horseback riding with local Cowboys, experience a real showdown shooting clay pigeons on the range, ranch tours or settle back in beautiful pool overlooking a bluff next to the Brazos River. After a night on the trails, racers can enjoy a Texas sized breakfast at Wildcatter Steakhouse and relax in the upscale chic western accommodations.
