The Frozen Snot
118 Pine Mountain Road, McElhattan PA, 17748, USA
So what is The Frozen Snot? It is a 13.5-mile trek, trail run, hike, adventure race or what ever you want to call it. In 2015 we started to morph more toward an adventure race as not much of the course is all that runable. We have selected the worst that Bald Eagle Mountain provides and scheduled it during what is usually the coldest week of the year. It is aimed at the hardcore trail runner and hardy hiker. By hardcore we don’t mean “elite” or necessarily fast, but rather a person that is ready for the most daunting 13.5-mile course we could devise in these parts. The day could be freezing rain on top of a foot of snow or it might just be a bracing, bright winter’s day out on a hard and fast rocky surface.
