Terror in the Glen

Most of the 5K course is on mowed trails through beautiful open tall grass prairie with rolling hills. The final half mile is wooded, but very friendly for runners and walkers. The 10K – The first mile or so is on mowed trails through meadows with some rolling hills. Miles two and three are through majestic pines and spruce, fairly wide trail with hills and some roots. The balance of the course circles Glen Lake on a challenging single track through the woods with plenty of roots, rocks, climbs and descents with a small section of asphalt at the campground. It won’t be your fastest 10K, but certainly your most memorable. Halloween Theme: Dress in your favorite appropriate Halloween themed gear. Remember the event is on a trail and gear must be appropriate and safe for a trail run! Proceeds of the event will go towards the “Topper Partnership Program” – Academic Achievements and Scholarships, to financially assist students for post-high school education. Fun Run Proceeds will benefit the Technology Resource Center. PLEASE NOTE: The terrain for the kid’s fun run may encounter some roots, rocks and slope.
