Taos Ski Valley Up & Over Trail Run

This mountain course will boost your endurance and elevate your senses as you run up hill for almost 5K, surrounded by high alpine views and wildflowers. EMBRACE THE ASCENT! The Up & Over 10K Trail Run starts and finishes in the base area, (elevation 9,200 feet). From the base, the course heads towards the top of Chairlift 2. This is an elevation gain of approximately 2,612 feet. The course will then run down Honeysuckle and weave back to the finish line where we celebrate, hug and embrace one another in a small town village with big awards & even bigger smiles of jubilation! Taos Ski Valley Up & Over 10k Trail Run

Hosted on Saturday, the Up & Over 10K is notoriously challenging with many runners returning year-after-year to beat their PBs. There are many groups that run together; friends, co-workers, and whole families who want to take on the mountain. The course is a formidable and scenic 2,612’ climb from 9,321′ at the base, topping out at 11,819′. Expect amazing views of Kachina and Wheeler Peaks, followed by a technical descent through high alpine terrain.
VerticAL’s VertK

On Sunday take on the 2nd Annual VerticAL’s VertK, a daunting vertical 1K up TAOS’s famed Al’s Run. In winter, Al’s is an intimidating long, steep black diamond ski run directly under Lift 1, carved with seemingly infinite measure of moguls. VerticAL’s participants will scramble up from the base to the finish at the top of Al’s – a grueling gain of 1,497’. Due to the demanding terrain, this event will be open to participants 16+ years old.
