Join us on July 8th, 2023 high above the Rogue Valley for the 24nd annual Siskiyou Out Back Trail Run (The SOB)! We have something for everyone, our original 50K and 15K, and our newer races the 50 Mile and 100K distances. Registration opens November 15th. Registration in the longer races (100K/50M/50K) will be limited to runners 18 years or older unless by prior consent by the Race Directors.

What you need to know:

Camping at the start/finish for RVs, tents, etc.
Friday Dinner and Movie
Saturday Food, free for Ultra distances, available for everyone
You can drop down to a shorter event race morning.
Sweet single track and an epic climb for the 50M and 100K runners.

Each run begins and ends at the Mt. Ashland Lodge, at an altitude of 6500 feet. From there the courses meander along the Pacific Crest Trail with breathtaking views of Mt. Shasta, Mt McLaughlin, and the Siskiyou and Cascade mountain ranges. The total course elevation for the 50K is about 4200 feet. The 50 mile features about 8400 feet of climbing and the 100K a whopping ~10,500 feet. Please note, the 100K is not easy as our finish rate of just over 50% in 2021 will attest. That being said, It was 80% in 2022. Many of our runners classify it as “challenging”. Should you finish, a 100 miler is well within your grasp.

15K race is ideal for youth trail runners. Age group awards for Men and Women: less than 15, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 and over.
