Relay option available.
Rut Rogue 40s is excited to invite any ultra rogue to join us for the fourth running of this great event. Our goal is to offer a quality event that is true to our sport. Rogues will enjoy the rustic nature of the trail with like minded souls who love to get dirty in the woods! Our grassroots event is low impact on the environment, not necessarily your body!
Run on the Wine, Modoc, and Turkey Creek trail with all the other muddy Rogues. It will be an out and back on beautifully wooded single track with the sound of the creek whispering over your shoulder for much of the race. Rogues will navigate rocks, roots, bridges, logs, and water crossings to show off their agility skills. The rolling terrain has some dips and rises but those that love to run will find few climbs to interrupt their pace and will enjoy what this fast course can offer.
The 40 mile and 50K participants will have the most challenging of the courses with a climb down to the water crossing of Turkey Creek and back up to the connector. Aid will be plentiful to all distances and drop bags will be available for the 40 milers at aid station 4/6 which is at miles 22/33. No pacers or crews, but your friends and family will have opportunities to cheer you on. A generous 11 hour cut off will allow all Rogues to enjoy their day on the trail.
Relay runners can assemble teams of 2-5 for their running pleasure. Relay rogues have five legs of varying distances to complete their race. Their team number will be the baton to hand off to the next runner. Relay rogues may not run consecutive legs. Leg one= 9.5 miles, Leg two=8 miles, Leg three=4.5 miles, Leg four= 12 miles, leg five= 6 miles. These distances apply to teams of 3-5 AND the Power Rogue teams of just two runners. Distances of each leg subject to minor changes based on Race director discretion and conditions of the trail. Awards go to first male and female in all events as well as the first coed relay/Power Rogue teams. All finishing rogues will receive finisher swag. You may change events prior to the start only.
