Description:

The Palisades Parks Conservancy will host the 7th annual Rock the River: Palisades Half Marathon, 5K, and Trail 6K on SUNDAY, May 6, 2018 at Ross Dock in the Palisades Interstate Park, Fort Lee, NJ. Proceeds from the USATF sanctioned races will support the Palisades Interstate Park System, helping to improve park infrastructure and environmental education programs. All three races begin at Ross Dock Park on the banks of the Hudson River just north of the George Washington Bridge. The Half Marathon and the 5K are out and back races that follow the Henry Hudson Drive, one of America’s oldest scenic roads. The 6K Trail Run follows the Long Path and Shore Trails after peeling off from Henry Hudson Drive. Trail runners will travel along the top of the Palisades cliffs, before descending to Ross Dock Park to finish. These are challenging races; physically rewarding and naturally beautiful.
