Ride to Walk Endurance Race

Sep 23, 2023 at 9:00 AM

McBean Parkway, Lincoln CA, 95648, USA

The course is a .84 mile loop around a working horse ranch, adjacent to a beautiful lake. The trail is almost 100% dirt and wide enough to drive a car on. There is a little shade, but the loop is mostly exposed. With approximately 25 feet of elevation change per lap, in the form of one hill, look to give your muscle groups a regular change-up. There is a short out-and-back section along the pond and lake, out to the hill, which is more than wide enough to accommodate two-way traffic, and will give you a chance to say hello to your friends (and competition) every lap.

With the addition of the 48 hour event this year, we will be bringing back “turns”. Every six hours, we will turn you around so you can enjoy the scenery from the other direction, and workout the other ankle.

If dry, which it should be, light trail shoes or even your favorite road shoes will be perfectly fine – but in the off-chance it’s wet, some aggressive trail shoes are definitely in order. It will be slick and muddy. Lincoln is famous for it’s clay. Gladding McBean has been making clay sewer pipe and Terra Cotta out of this stuff for over 140 years! The race will run, rain or shine, so come prepared for anything.
