Relay Across America

The American Discovery Trail Society is having a Relay Across America for the America 250th Anniversary celebrating our Independence. The Relay does go through Colorado Springs through the Garden of the Gods, Sinton Trail, the Fountain Creek Greenway and several other trails in the area.
The Relay will begin on the west coast and travel eastbound to the Atlantic. The tentative start date is July 4th at Point Reyes National Seashore just north of the Golden Gate Bridge in California.
The end date of the relay will be Thanksgiving Day at Cape Henlopen State Park in Delaware where the person(s) will jump in the Atlantic Ocean.
In Colorado we have 1,153 miles of trail (affiliated trails, and several dirt, gravel and paved roads). We are looking for anyone who wants to participate from hikers, runners and cyclists. A variety of participants are welcome. I have a flyer and some info documents I can send if you email me or visit discoverytrail.org and it will list everything that I will share. We have folks already signing up for areas they live in as an FYI. If you have any questions, please let me know.
