Pirineu MITJA, Trail, Nit and XS

Description:

The Trail School of the Sports Association Mountain Runners of Berguedà, the Athletics Friends of Bagà, with the collaboration of Bagà’s City Hall, organize the Pirineu XS, the kids’ version of Ultra Pirineu.

The NIT PIRINEU is a night vertical run with 860m of positive gain covering a distance of 5km between “La Molina” ski station cable-car area and the mountain shelter “Niu de l’Àliga” (meaning Eagle’s Nest, 2520m).

Runners of NIT PIRINEU, after cross the finish line, will descent back by the cable car (for free) to the start line area and enjoy a traditional “botifarrada” meal (typical Catalan sausage), in the “self-service“ area of “La Molina“ ski resort.

MITJA PIRINEU 2018 is a mountain race taking place on 29th September, with 20km and 630m of positive elevation gain, connecting the villages of Bellver, Ordèn and Olopte.

The race starts and finish in Bellver de Cerdanya, and runners will enjoy impressive views of the natural park of “Cadí-Moixerò” and “plana de Cerdanya” across its varied track.

Its technical difficulty is low, so it is optimal for both beginners and runners who like to keep a high pace throughout the race.
