Peneda-Gerês Trail Adventure will take you to some of the most beautiful and inhospitable nook of this country, in the extreme south-west of Europe! Castles, waterfalls, fauna, flora, gastronomy, handicraft, people, community, villages, culture… A perfect portrait, difficult to explain, designed to be felt and lived! Accept the challenge! choose one of the multistage races… run it solo or as team – of two or three athletes – on the only Portuguese National Park – Peneda-Gerês….…it’is located in the northwest of Portugal, from about an hour of the airports of Oporto and Vigo – Spain. Peneda-Gerês Trail Aventure® is a multi-day trail running event with different races which cover different distances. Peneda-Gerês Trail Aventure® and Peneda-Gerês Trail Aventure® Starter have 8 stages, beginning at April 26 and finishing at 3rd of May, crossing through 5 municipalities: Arcos de Valdevez, Ponte da Barca, Melgaço, Terras de Bouro and Montalegre. The races depart from Arcos de Valdevez and arrive at Vila do Gerês. Transfers, meals and accommodation for all the 8 days are included.
