Peel Out 5k and 10k Trail Run

The Peel Out Trail Run at the Mt. Ashwabay Ski and Recreation Area on Saturday, October 7, 2017 features both a 5k and 10K race plus a new 5 mile Doggin’ For Apples where you can run with your dog. This race is part of the Bayfield Apple Festival, one of the “top ten autumn festivals in North America”. The 5k course will wind through woods and cross country ski trails, climb 300′ and finish at the top of Mt. Ashwabay, providing magnificent views of Lake Superior, the Apostle Islands and fall foliage. The 10k ‘hard core’ course will be run mostly on single-track mountain bike trails for a fun, roller coaster challenge that will test the legs. Doggin’ For Apples is flat and wide for you and your dog. Carry an apple (provided, not required) with you and we will make it into an apple caramel sundae when you finish.
