Description:

The 10th annual Patapsco Valley 50K and NEW 25K will take place on October 21st, 2023.

The Patapsco Valley 50K & 25K is a trail running event within Patapsco Valley State Park Avalon Area near Baltimore, Maryland. The race features plenty of scenic, natural-surface single track with a few short sections on paved bike trail. The terrain is challenging but runnable with rolling hills throughout. The course is a 25K loop. It features a handful of small creek crossings and can be muddy in places. 50K runners will complete 2 loops of the course.

Course highlights include Cascade Falls, the Captain John Smith historical marker, ruins of the Orange Grove Flour Mill, as well as the Avalon Nail and Iron Works ruins. Not to mention gorgeous views of the Patapsco River valley throughout!
